Born In The Desert (Deluxe)

1.
They met in the desert- their encounter was brief He was an Arsonist, She was a Thief He struck a match and she burned with desire She stole his heart, he set hers on fire Love burns, it don’t burn long A spark in the dark seems so strong If you find it, keep it, hold on Turn your back for a second and it’s gone The desert heat was a feeble flame Their bonfire blazed like the future, like fame They danced ‘round the fire, got high off the fumes They drank communion and howled at the moon Love burns, it don’t burn long A spark in the dark seems so strong If you find it, keep it, hold on Before long, he was looking around She wasn’t the only thief in town We need love we can see and feel We beg, we borrow, we steal Just before leaving he stole back his heart She began looking for fires to start She fed her own flames ‘til her spirit choked Her heart and soul- cinders and smoke Love burns, it don’t burn long A spark in the dark seems so strong If you find it, keep it, hold on Love burns, love burns…. In the end it don’t matter if it’s real or a con Turn your back for a second and it’s gone Turn your back for a second and it’s gone Turn your back for a second and it’s gone

Picture of a girl, a smile in her eyes That’s a face I don’t recognize I’m someone else, that girl is gone I lost myself, where’d I go wrong? We walked on holy ground We took a sacred vow You stripped me of my power You broke me down I used to be a Goddess, a Priestess In your eyes I used to be stronger, stand taller Larger than life Now you’ve cut me down so small I don’t exist at all I built a shrine in my heart You were divine at the start You took my pride, took my soul I pray for you to let me go We walked on holy ground We took a sacred vow You stripped me of my power You broke me down I used to be a Goddess, a Priestess In your eyes I used to be stronger, stand taller Larger than life Now you’ve cut me down so small I don’t exist at all I don’t need your love and I don’t need your lies I’m burning every memory That brought me down to size Standing in the ashes, like a phoenix I will rise…. ‘Cause I’m a Goddess, a Priestess Larger than life I’ll be stronger, stand taller Larger than life I’m a Goddess, a Priestess Larger than life I’ll be stronger, stand taller Larger than life

There’s a storm in your soul hurt taking hold love isn’t enough to lift you back up You’re sinking fast I can’t pull you from the wreckage of your past You drag me down Do I sink or say goodbye? You can turn it all around but you won’t, you won’t, you won’t if you don’t try, oooooh I’ve done all I can do you have to choose I’m trying to stay you push me away You’re sinking fast I can’t pull you from the wreckage of your past You drag me down Do I sink or say goodbye? You can turn it all around But you won’t, you won’t, you won’t I know how it feels to be broken and bruised We have to believe it gets easier soon I wish to god I knew how to help How can I save you? I can’t save myself You drag me down Do I sink or say goodbye You can turn it all around But you won’t, you won’t, you won’t, no You drag me down I don’t want to say goodbye You can turn it all around Just try, Try, try, try oooooh

I was born in the desert In the year of the flood In the city of the temple Bathed in blood I’ve walked through fire I’ve shed my skin I know where I’m going I’m ready to begin You tell me I’m too late You tempt me to walk away I’m pushing this boulder up the mountainside Nothing to show for how hard I’ve tried It’s not in vain I’m just getting started Not going down I’ve come this far I won’t turn around A voice in me rages A noiseless shout Silently screaming Let me out, let me out You tell me I’m too late You tempt me to walk away I’m pushing this boulder up the mountainside Nothing to show for how hard I’ve tried It’s not in vain I’ve died the little death of a thousand little cuts I resurrected, rose from the dust Wandering the desert searching for a dream I finally found who I was born to be You tell me I’m too late You tempt me to walk away I’m pushing this boulder up the mountainside Nothing to show for how hard I’ve tried It’s not in vain I was born in the desert I was born in the desert I was born in the desert

Burning Now 04:38
In whispers you told me I really hurt you this time Not sure where you’re going But this is where you draw the line You’re angry and bitter You need some time alone To weigh and consider And maybe someday you’ll come home As I watched you go, my coldness melted I didn’t know you’d ever felt it You didn’t show I’d hurt you…. ohh I held back, denied it I tried to play it safe I was selfish, divided I tried to take more than I gave I see now, I used you I never realized what I did Oh my love, did I abuse you More than you’re able to forgive? As I watched you go, my coldness melted I didn’t know you’d ever felt it You didn’t show I’d hurt you But I’m learning now My love is burning now I’d do anything To make you turn around All my walls are burning My heart is burning now Our closet looks empty As your side of the bed My longing, attempting To fill the void you left I’m cleaning our bedroom So it looks nice if you come back

Swinging brown curls, taffeta swirls It’s Annabelle's Dance Tiny pink toes, a turned up nose Stars in her hands She’s tossing her stars up into the sky Sparkling promises light up the night She watches them gleam- each one a dream Of who she will grow up to be Long gangly arms, teenage charm It’s Annabelle's Dance Spinning around, feet kiss the ground She’s dreaming of wild romance She still sees the stars but sometimes they go dark She’s turning and learning life can be hard She isn’t so sure of herself anymore The stars aren’t as bright as before Pouting red lips, spiraling hips It’s Annabelle's Dance Flailing about, twirling with doubts No-one understands The stars are falling out of the sky She’s losing her light and she doesn’t know why She’s still just a child in her mind’s eye Whirling and writhing and dancing through life Swinging brown curls, taffeta swirls It’s Annabelle's Dance

The Cave 03:23
The moment has arrived- time to leave the cave Push the fear aside – it won’t keep me safe All I’ve ever wanted is to walk in the light I’m taking one step at a time I saw the sun today, I saw the sun today Saw the sun today- all the clouds have blown away Something’s just begun I saw the sun Telling me it’s time to be someone Hiding in the darkness, silent all these years Took the power from my voice, gave it to my fears Searching for a reason why I am alive Today I think I found the reason why I saw the sun today, I saw the sun today Saw the sun today- all my doubts have blown away Something’s just begun I saw the sun Telling me it’s time to be someone Alone, memories are all I have of hope Time is passing so slow Waiting for a sign to let me know When it’s time to go The sun was setting when I left the cave Don’t know where i’m heading, as I walk away The sleeper has awakened, the fire is reborn I see the light, I’m not hiding anymore I saw the sun today, I saw the sun today Saw the sun today- from now on I’ll never be afraid Something’s just begun, I saw the sun Telling me it’s time to be someone, Someone, someone, someone

Hate is a strong word It’s not the wrong word You can love someone and hate them just the same I believe in forgiving But I can’t help reliving Memories of those dark and lonely days Tell me, Cinderella Does the anger ever fade? Does it ever go away? Tell me Cinderella How long will it take Till this Cinderella story doesn’t feel so fake? It’s not that I’m not grateful I am thankful For all of the love I have today I know how much you care And you’re not going anywhere So why can’t I just put the past away? Tell me, Cinderella Does the anger ever fade? Does it ever go away? Tell me Cinderella How long will it take Till this Cinderella story doesn’t feel so fake? Tell me, Cinderella Does the anger ever fade? Does it ever go away? Oh, tell me Cinderella How long will it take Till this Cinderella story doesn’t feel so fake?

Letting Go 03:17
I take your hand in mine Remind you of my name Try to make you smile Distract you from the pain The color of your eyes Has changed since yesterday Their old familiar light Has begun to fade All I can give you is a hand to hold Say I love you You already know Tell you to hang on But you’re letting go Somewhere in your heart You’ve decided it’s time To journey to the stars Leave this world behind All I can give you is a hand to hold Say I love you You already know Tell you to hang on But you’re letting go If I had a choice I’d get you out of this place Give you a reason to last another day I still have hope you’ll find a way but we both know it’s already too late All I can give you is a hand to hold Say I love you You already know Tell you to hang on But you’re letting go You’re letting go You’re letting go I’ll let you go

Capacity 02:41
You’re taking every measure To keep me satisfied Paying close attention To the details that I hide There’s something in me changing It’s your power over me Charging my emotions You set them free I never loved anyone the way you love me Never had the capability I wanna be for you what you are for me So I’m raising my capacity I used to be so selfish ‘Cause I was afraid Used to be so careful Kept my feelings tucked away You make it look so easy Simple and safe My little heart Is getting bigger everyday Everything I give you comes right back to me A hundred times stronger, with more intensity You give more love than I’m able to receive So I’m raising my capacity I’m raising my capacity

Theatre Noir 03:54
Welcome to Theatre Noir The Traveling Circus Sideshow Land of the Freaks, Home of the Depraved Welcome to Theatre Noir Nagina can charm any cobra Sabra can swallow any sword Masters of the Macabre! Gladiators of the Grotesque! Prodigies of all Perversions! And now Lydia, the Tattooed Lady, takes the stage A serpent wound ‘round her neck Defiant roses decorate her arms, Flames lick their way up her legs With a proud full gaze she confronts her audience Welcome to Theatre Noir We take pride in our deformities Profit from your disgust Natural-born Monstrosities! Self-created Oddities! Morbid Curiosities! Next up, Young Aidan, raised in sheltered bliss In the unassailable Midwest The red carnival ticket was admission to a brave new world One look at lovely Lydia he could hardly see the ink He saw beauty beneath her branded skin Her eyes whispered to his soul within, They said “Welcome to Theatre Noir” Onward the caravan crawls With Aidan following after His lunatic obsession only grew with each rejection Welcome to Theatre Noir Backstage he proclaimed his love But Aidan was tragically rebuffed, “We are all abominations, and without some aberration, you’ll never be one of us.” “I’ll do anything,” Aidan replied. “I’d walk though fire to stay by your side!” And that’s precisely what he did His hair melted and his flesh dripped He rose like a phoenix from the smoke and ash; thus was born the Smoldering Man Welcome to Theatre Noir Come see the Tattooed Lady, At her side, the Smoldering Man The Legendary Lovers, so scandalous, so strange Twisted and taboo and so deliciously deranged Witness their wickedness, their pleasure and their pain And Welcome to Theatre Noir! We’ll glorify your scars You’ll be the Greatest Star! Yes, Welcome to Theatre Noir!
